Website Care Plan Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Website Care Plan Terms & Conditions apply to all Website Care Plans provided by SEO Web Design.

By subscribing to a Website Care Plan, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Website Care Plans are designed to keep your WordPress website secure, updated and operating reliably through ongoing preventative maintenance.

2. Scope of Service

Website Care Plans include only the services listed in the selected plan.

Depending on your chosen plan, services may include:

• WordPress Core Updates
• Plugin Updates
• Theme Updates
• Website Health Checks
• Security Monitoring
• Website Backups
• Uptime Monitoring
• Technical Support
• Minor Content Changes
• Technical SEO Health Checks (Premium Plan only)

Services not specifically listed in your selected plan are not included.

3. Services Not Included

Unless specifically agreed in writing, Website Care Plans do not include:

• Website redesigns
• New website development
• New functionality
• eCommerce development
• Copywriting
• Graphic design
• Logo design
• SEO campaigns
• Keyword research
• Google Ads management
• Social media management
• Third-party software licences
• Website migrations

These services may be quoted separately.

4. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

• Maintain accurate contact details.
• Provide WordPress Administrator access where required.
• Provide hosting or control panel access if necessary.
• Provide domain registrar access when required.
• Respond promptly to requests for information.
• Keep copies of important website and business data where practical.

SEO Web Design cannot perform maintenance without appropriate access.

5. Website Updates

SEO Web Design will make every reasonable effort to keep WordPress, plugins and themes up to date.

However, updates occasionally introduce compatibility issues beyond our control.

Where possible, updates will be tested before deployment.

SEO Web Design cannot guarantee compatibility between third-party software products.

6. Backups

Backups are provided as part of selected Website Care Plans.

Backups are intended as a recovery tool and should not be considered permanent data storage.

Clients remain responsible for maintaining copies of critical business information where appropriate.

While every reasonable effort is made to ensure backup integrity, SEO Web Design cannot guarantee that every backup will be complete or recoverable under all circumstances.

7. Uptime Monitoring

Where included, uptime monitoring alerts SEO Web Design when a website becomes unavailable.

Monitoring does not guarantee uninterrupted website availability.

Website downtime caused by third-party hosting providers, internet outages, domain issues or external services remains outside the control of SEO Web Design.

8. Content Changes

Content changes included within your plan are intended for minor website updates.

Examples include:

• Updating contact information
• Replacing images
• Uploading PDF documents
• Editing existing text
• Updating opening hours
• Publishing supplied blog articles

Content changes do not include:

• Designing new pages
• Rebuilding layouts
• Creating new functionality
• Major content rewrites
• Graphic design work

Unused monthly content update time does not accumulate.

9. Technical SEO Health Checks

Where included, Technical SEO Health Checks involve monitoring the technical health of your website, including areas such as indexing, crawlability, broken links and technical errors that may affect search visibility.

Technical SEO Health Checks do not include ongoing SEO campaigns, keyword research, content optimisation or guaranteed search engine rankings.

10. Support Hours

Standard support is provided during normal business hours:

Monday to Friday

08:00 – 17:00

Excluding weekends and South African public holidays.

Support requests received outside business hours will be attended to during the next business day unless covered by an applicable emergency support service.

11. Emergency Support

Emergency support applies only to issues that prevent the normal operation of your website or email services.

Examples include:

• Website unavailable
• Website hacked
• SSL certificate failure
• Critical WordPress failure
• Business email unavailable

Emergency support does not include requests for routine content updates or cosmetic website changes.

Response times are based on your selected Website Care Plan and refer to the time taken to begin investigating the reported issue. They are not a guarantee that the issue will be resolved within that period.

12. Payments

Website Care Plans are billed monthly in advance.

Payment is due on or before the 1st day of each month.

SEO Web Design pays hosting providers, software licensing and infrastructure costs in advance and therefore cannot extend credit on recurring services.

13. Late Payments

Payments not received by the due date may incur a R50 late payment administration fee.

SEO Web Design reserves the right to suspend Website Care Plan services until the account has been brought up to date.

14. Suspension and Termination

If a Website Care Plan is cancelled or suspended:

• Website updates will cease.
• Monitoring services will stop.
• Backups may no longer be performed.
• Emergency support will no longer be available.

SEO Web Design cannot be held responsible for security incidents or software issues occurring after cancellation or suspension.

15. Limitation of Liability

SEO Web Design will exercise reasonable skill and care in providing Website Care Plan services.

However, SEO Web Design shall not be liable for:

• Third-party software failures
• Plugin incompatibilities
• Hosting provider outages
• Cyber-attacks beyond reasonable preventative measures
• Search engine ranking changes
• Business interruption
• Loss of profits

Liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the Client for the Website Care Plan during the preceding twelve (12) months.

16. Changes to these Terms

SEO Web Design may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest published version on the SEO Web Design website shall apply.
